CTN Technologies successfully teaches drone assembly in two-day workshop

After weeks of publicity, the Drone Assembly Training organised by CTN Technologies has come off.

The two-day intensive workshop was attended by well close to a dozen participants with various backgrounds.

Both sessions of the training were held at the Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) at Airport Residential Area, Accra.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghanaian drone manufacturing company (Wingxtrer), Ebenezer Sasu was the resource person for the event.

On the first day, the class was taken through the history of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), the types, their uses, advantages and disadvantages.

The lessons were well-received by participants who were from industries such as agriculture, engineering among others.

Ebenezer shared his personal experience with building drones from low-budget materials and how to make them work.

On the final day of the training, the class was joined by robotics students in Junior High School.

They were taught the various parts needed to build the different types of drones, their functions and how to acquire them.

After the final theoretical lessons, now it was time to have a hands-on class.

Everyone moved outside to be a part of the practical drone flying demonstration session.

This was the interesting part of the workshop. The resource person flew two different drones with their distinct controller to explain the practical forces that come to play when flying a drone outside.

He mentioned the need to be conscious of physical elements such as the weather before flying a drone.

On a whole, the workshop was insightful and all the people who attended left with a new outlook to drone technology and knowledge to build their very own.

All participants were awarded their certificates at the end of the training.

The drone assembly workshop is one of several skill-training events organised by CTN Technologies to help more people gain knowledge in various tech-related areas.

The recent training held was about 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing.
