Quick Buy Online market app launched for KNUST students

In a bid to reduce the stress of shopping and improve access to services, a software and robotics engineer together with his team have developed a centralised online campus market app.

Quick Buy Online which was virtually launched on Friday, January 8, ahead of the 2021/22 academic year was founded by Clinton Anani Bamden, Martin Opoku Kwarteng and Kutsronu Gideon.

For now, the online market app is expected to be utilised predominantly by students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

However, the products and services on the platform will be available to residents of Kumasi as well.

Customers who have the app would only need to select the available services and follow the prompts.

Founder, Clinton Anani Bamden hinted that there are "serious plans to expand to outside of the university level and also include other universities".

He noted that " There are two sides to this app - both Android and iOS. The first part is the product purchasing section where we carefully picked out categories meant for students, so they can get whatever product it is they need. The second part is the services section. There are for now, 5 services we have on the platform."

These include; food delivery, laundry, LPG Gas Refill, photoshoot booking, art/design services."

Mr. Bamdem assured that the vendors who use the platform are verified hence will provde students with the right products.

According to him, "vendors get registered and are given an ID to be used to log into their shop via out vendor app. They can upload their products, manage inventory and receive orders, both through the app, and also via SMS".

Quick Buy Online is available on Google Playstore and Apple App Store. Get your market right in the palm of your hands - on the go.
